Filming locations that i would like to visit in Korea

Hi Everyone! Today i want to share with you guys the filming locations of K-Drama that i would like to visit if i go to Korea someday. I’m a fan of K-Dramas (my first K-Drama was winter sonata and i watched it when i’m in junior high school) and many K-Dramas shoots at a great place and sceneries, and i LOVE the sceneries! so i thought i will list down the locations, and here we go!

The Moon that Embraces the Sun filming locations

I just finished watching this drama and i love this so much! love the story and love the places too!  i’m a fan towards korean historical dramas because it gave me different feels of watching the dramas, more like showing the culture and heritage of Korea through the drama itself. As for other dramas that i mentioned, some of them are from several years ago so i don’t really remember the story but i remembered for sure that the story is great and the BG scenes too! 🙂

Yongin MBC dramia

Yongin MBC Dramia is the filming set where Korean historical dramas like Jumong, Queen Seondeok, and Dong Yi were filmed. The facility features buildings from the Three Kingdoms era (the era of the Goguryeo, Baekje, and Silla Kingdoms, between the 4th and mid-7th century) to the Joseon Dynasty (1392-1910). In The Moon That Embraces the Sun, royal palace scenes were mostly filmed here.

Korean Folk Village

The Korean Folk Village features the lifestyle and private houses of the Joseon Dynasty (1392-1910). It has on exhibit various items from the era, including household tools, farming tools, and crafts. Various events are held by season, such as farmers’ music performances, tightrope dancing, and traditional wedding reenactments. The market inside the village sells various traditional foods like injeolmi (rice cake), bindaetteok (mung bean pancake), pajeon (spring onion pancake), and Korean liquors. In The Sun and the Moon, the local markets, the private residences of the commoners, and the night scenes were filmed here.

Personal taste filming locations

Bukchon Hanok Village

Located in 31 Beon-ji (Gahoe-dong, Bukchon), Sanggojae is a “fusion hanok,” a traditional Korean house with modern touches. Built by Gae-in’s father, Professor Park Cheol-han (played by Gang Sin-il), the house’s name means “a place for mutual love” and reflects Professor Park’s love for his family.

Lie to me filming locations

Beartree park

Scenes featuring the big mansion and beautiful garden of Hyeon Myeong-jin (Gi-jun’s aunt and chairperson of World Group) were filmed at Beartree Park in Yeongi-gun County, Chungcheongnam-do Province. Beartree Park is an arboretum with around 400,000 flowers and trees from thousands of different species. The park also has a pond with 500 carp, a ‘petting zoo’ with dozens of bears, and a deer hill where deer and elk roam—not to mention areas for peacocks and mandarin ducks. Beartree Garden is abloom with colorful flowers all year round and the tropical arboretum is abundant with plants from all over the world, making this particular filming location as unique as it is beautiful.

Cinderella stepsister filming locations

Pocheon Sanjeonghosu Lake, open film set of Daeseongdoga

The open film set of Daeseongdoga is located inside Sanjeonghosu Lake area in Gyeonggi-do Province. Aside from a gorgeous lakeside view, the site features traditional architecture. The Daeseongdoga film set sits on an area of 1,000 square meters; the entire filming location is 13,000 square meters wide. Inside the building is a makgeolli laboratory, a fermentation room, and study room. The interior of the set is filled with antique furniture and ceramics designed to match the vibe of the Daeseongdoga Brewery, a building with a long and proud history.

Herb Island

Located in Pocheon-si in Gyeonggi-do Province, Herb Island is where Jeong-u (Taecyeon) and Eun-jo (Moon Geun-young) spend the day together. The site has a great collection of herbs and flowers in its herb garden and museum. There is also an herb restaurant, herb café, and an herb store selling various herb products. Also of interest are the aromatherapy center, the Venice Village, and petting zoo.

City Hunter filming locations

Buam dong

Nestled in Mount Bugaksan, Buam-dong is one of the hidden jewels of Seoul. The area is home to charming cafes and unique restaurants and shops and is a place where nature flourishes. Close to Gyeongbokgung Palace and Insa-dong and connected to Changuimun Gate and the Bugaksanseong Fortress trail, Buam-dong offers a pleasant mix of culture, tradition, and convenience. In the drama, it is the filming location of scenes showing Yun-seong’s mother’s house and neighborhood. Buam-dong has also appeared in the dramas ‘My lovely Sam Soon’ and ‘The First Shop of the Coffee Prince.’

Boys before flowers filming locations

Gyeongju Shilla Millenium Park

Ragung hotel in Gyeongju was the setting for Yun Ji-hu’s traditional Hanok home. This high-class hotel consists of 16 separate houses, which are connected by corridors. The construction of the hotel required the largest number of specialized carpenters since the restoration of Gyeongbokgung Palace. Ragung was actually the name for the royal palace during the Silla dynasty. Guestrooms include private gardens and hot spring baths. The hotel is located in Korea’s very first historical theme park, the Shilla Millennium Park, and hotel rates include breakfast, dinner, and admission tickets to the theme park.

Jumong filming locations

Hwangmaesan mountain

The cave from which Haemosu was rescued by Jumong and was taken care of in is a famous destination for migratory birds located at Hwangmaesan Mountain. Haemosu trains Jumong in martial arts at this location, and the two characters share some good memories as teacher and student. The final death scene of Haemosu was also filmed here on the wide grassy field, where it is especially beautiful on the mountaintop.
This location also served as a backdrop for the movie ‘Tae Guk Gi: Brotherhood of War’. This film location also overlooks the ocean. Some scenes were filmed at the foot of Hwangmaesan Mountain at the movie theme park. This park is known as the film location for the movie ‘Gingko Bed’ as well.

Yumyeongsan Mountain’s Seolmaejae Natural Park

The armies of Jumong, Byeoldongdae and Cheolgigun, fight fierce battles at the Seolmaejae Natural Park located at Yumyeongsan Mountain. This is also the film location for the scene where Jumong falls into a pit. Drama ‘Damo’ and the movie ‘King and the Clown’ were both filmed here as well.

Drama Haesin’s Film Location – Wan-do

The drama ‘Haesin’ was filmed at Wan-do, and serves as the backdrop for Hyeontoseong Fortress in ‘Jumong’. The Silla Village set was built for the KBS drama ‘Haesin’, and the set has about 40 tile-roofed houses, including private houses, Chinese-looking streets, a tavern, and waterways, recreating the China of Dang Dynasty. The Cheonghaejin Pogu (Port) Village set includes about 42 buildings, a ferry dock, vessels, a military camp, and more.

Hi everyone! this is my 3rd post and now i still want to talk a bit about Korea 😀 . (Make sure you read my previous posts! :* ). I want to make a to-do list if I go to Korea. There are so many things i want to do if I go there (probably would take a longgg time to finish it) but I will mention 3 things that i really really want to do in Korea.

Take a photo of me wearing pretty & colorful hanbok

I’m weak over cute and pretty things and here it comes! Super pretty and colorful hanbok! I just can’t stop staring at it. I love the combination of bright color, but pastel color looks good too! The flower prints, the colorful stripes really make a gorgeous combination, such a national treasure & heritage, really great! 2 days ago I just finished watching the recent and very popular K-Drama Moon Embraces The Sun which are the story of a kingdom where the casts wearing super pretty hanbok. Watching that kind of drama makes me love hanbok more and more ❤ .

Take a stroll, go to stylish cafe, and taking photograph

I often saw many articles about many stylish cafe in Korea, you know i love photography. i love to take pics of nature & scenery and also love to take pics of stylish place. So i want to take a stroll in the street, take my time, looking around, take some photos, go to cafes, enjoying the snacks, and take some photos again,haha.. (of course if the owner don’t mind because some of the fine restaurants and cafes in my country don’t allow me to take photos of their interior even with me in the photo 😦 ).

Try Jjimjilbang (찜질방)

This is the popular public bathhouse/ korean spa that i want to try. Watching many K-Dramas and variety shows scene taken inside of Jjimjilbang and it looked like really really fun (cracked the egg on your friend head sounds fun :p and i want to try Iced Sikhye too! ), so i thought i want to try it someday if i go to Korea.

Yeap, those are 3 things I would do in Korea. What do you think? Any interesting idea? Please share with me!

Touch Korea Tour : TOP 3 dishes i want to try in korea

Hello everybody! Today i want to talk about my CRAZINESS about south korea part 1 : FOOD! ^^ Originally, if i go to south korea,i really want to try all the street snacks,BBQ,soup, and desserts too.. LOL. but now,i will talk about TOP 3 korean dishes that i want to eat.

Hot and spicy rice cake / 떡볶이 / Ddukbokkie

currently i’ve been raving this street snack soooo much! i always love ddukbokkie, and if i go to korean restaurant i always ordered ddukbokkie for snack/side dish. although i often eat this dish in Indonesia, i still want to try the ‘original’ ddukbokkie in korea. i want to eat this at night with busy streets atmosphere and at one side of the streets, the ddukbokkie stand being crowded with people happily eating this snacks. Can you imagine that? that would be awesome foodie experience in korea.

Sweet and crispy chicken / 닭강정 / Dakkangjung

This is the second dish that i want to try in korea. I never eat this before so i don’t know how it taste, but looking from the pic and the name,i’m sure this dish is delicious and really crispy. First i knew this dish is from korean cooking site, that day i went looking for japchae recipe and after i get the recipe i end up searching other recipes and this really caught my attention 😉 and instead of cooking it myself, i better get to know the original taste before (and it will be great if i can taste it directly from korea!)

Grilled pork belly / 삼겹살 / Samgyeopsal gui

Ah,i really can’t resist this dish! i really love samgyupsal,hahaha.. just looking the pic makes me hungry.. this is so mouth watering.. omo.. The reason i pick this dish is because i love  pork, and also i like the way you eat this. First you take the lettuce, and you stuffed it with samgyupsal, chili paste, garlic, mushroom, and even rice, wrapped it and finally eat it altogether. So fun! ^^ You should try it too 😉

That’s my TOP 3 dishes that i want to try in korea. What do you think? and what your top 3 dishes that you want to try yourself in korea? Please let me know! 😉
